The tools changed. The value of a careful reader did not.
Vappingo started in 2009 with a simple idea: professional editing should be easy to access, straightforward to order and genuinely useful. A writer should be able to send important work to a skilled editor, see exactly what changed and know the price before committing.
Since then, writing technology has moved from spellcheckers to grammar tools to generative AI. Those tools can be useful, but they do not remove the need for judgement. Someone still has to follow the argument, notice when two figures conflict, recognise when a conclusion outruns the evidence and understand why wording that is technically correct is still wrong for the reader.
That is the work Vappingo is built around. Our editors read the document as a whole, make changes they can justify and leave the decisions that depend on the writer's knowledge, evidence or intent with the writer.
