Vappingo started in 2009 with a straightforward goal: make professional editing easier to access online. A writer should be able to send a document to a skilled editor, get useful changes back quickly and know exactly what the service will cost.
Since then, writing technology has moved from spellcheckers to grammar tools to generative AI. Those tools can be useful. They still do not remove the need for someone to follow an argument, recognise when two figures conflict, notice when a conclusion outruns the evidence or understand why a sentence sounds wrong for its audience.
That is the job our editors do. They read the document as a whole, make the changes they can justify and flag the decisions that genuinely need your input.
