Why human judgement still matters at the proofreading stage
A grammar tool cannot know whether 130 or 132 is the right number.
Automated checking can be useful for surface patterns. It is less dependable when context matters: whether a specialist term is deliberately capitalised, whether unusual wording is technically correct, or why the same figure appears differently in two sections.
A professional human proofreader reads for meaning as well as correctness. That helps avoid unnecessary changes, surface inconsistencies that need author input and keep the final document recognisably yours.
