Margins for KDP print books are not aesthetic choices \u2014 they’re structural requirements determined by KDP’s printing process and binding method. Setting margins incorrectly is one of the most common reasons KDP rejects print file uploads.<\/p>\n

The inside margin (the gutter \u2014 the edge facing the spine) must be wide enough that text isn’t lost in the binding.
